1. Introduction
These Seller Terms ("Seller Agreement") govern your use of Second Turn Games as a seller. By listing games for sale, you agree to this Seller Agreement in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Seller Eligibility & Declaration
Second Turn Games is designed for private individuals selling personal items from their own board game collections. Professional sellers, businesses, and commercial traders are not permitted.
By listing games, you legally declare and warrant that:
- You are selling personal items as a private individual.
- You are at least 18 years old.
- You are NOT registered as a business for selling goods, nor are you buying board games specifically to resell them for profit.
Misrepresenting your seller status may result in immediate account termination and reporting to tax authorities.
3. Verification & Tax Reporting (DAC7)
Under EU Council Directive 2021/514 (DAC7), we are legally required to collect and report seller information to the Latvia State Revenue Service (VID) if you exceed specific annual sales or revenue thresholds.
You can start selling without immediate identity verification. However, to comply with these EU tax laws and financial regulations, we monitor your sales activity:
- If you stay below the reporting thresholds, we do not require verification and do not report anything.
- If you approach the thresholds, we will notify you and require you to complete seller verification. This includes providing your legal name, date of birth, primary address, and Tax Identification Number (TIN).
- Failure to complete this verification and provide your TIN when requested will result in suspended selling privileges and frozen payouts until the information is provided.
For current reporting thresholds and plain-language examples, see our DAC7 Tax Reporting Guide.
4. Listing Rules & Condition Grading
You may only sell authentic board games that you personally own. Every listing must include an accurate title, true condition, complete description of defects/missing pieces, actual photos of the item, and edition details.
You are required to grade your games honestly according to the platform grading criteria. If components are missing or damaged, you must disclose this in the description, regardless of the condition rating.
5. Pricing, Fees, and Payment Authorization
You have full control over your listing price. For Claim this game sales, Second Turn Games deducts a platform commission from the game price. See our Payments & Fees guide for current rates.
Payment Mandate: Second Turn provides a secure payment process. By listing a game for sale using Claim this game, you explicitly authorize us to act as your commercial agent to conclude the sale and receive the buyer's payment on your behalf. Once the buyer pays us, their debt to you is legally settled. We hold the funds securely and transfer your earnings (the game price minus our platform commission) to your platform wallet after the transaction completes.
We may place temporary holds on withdrawals for new seller accounts, unusually high-value transactions, suspected fraud, or pending disputes.
To keep payments simple and compliant with banking rules, you authorize us to collect the money for you. Once the buyer checks out, they owe you nothing else, and we hold the funds safely until the game is delivered.
6. Seller Operational Responsibilities
As a seller using Claim this game, you are contractually obligated to:
- Confirm orders within 24 hours. Failure to do so cancels the order.
- Ship within 2 business days of confirming, using the provided parcel terminal code.
- Package securely. You are fully responsible for packaging items to withstand transit. You are liable for any damage caused by inadequate packaging.
For practical shipping instructions, refer to our Shipping Guide.
7. Disputes and Platform Integrity
If a buyer reports a genuine problem within the 2-day dispute window (e.g., item not as described, damaged in transit), we review the claim. If a refund is issued, the funds are returned directly to the buyer.
Bank Chargebacks: In rare cases where a buyer disputes a charge with their bank, the disputed amount may be held pending resolution, and the buyer's bank makes the final decision.
Fraud Protection: We actively work to protect sellers from fraudulent buyers. If you believe a buyer is making a false claim, provide evidence through the dispute process and report them to info@secondturn.games. We will investigate and suspend buyers who abuse the system.
8. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or permanently terminate your selling privileges for severe violations, including fraud, misrepresenting items, failing to ship orders, excessive chargebacks, or suspected commercial activity. Upon termination, pending payouts may be held for 180 days to cover potential chargebacks.
